Addicts Are Victims – Not Criminals

They need care – NOT punishment.

Almost always the term “addiction” is correlated with the term “problem”, and addicts are casually thought of as a public nuisance. Our society has labelled these addicts as individuals who are immoral, and need to be punished. Unfortunately, this is the exact mindset of many rehabilitation centres in India, who believe that the only way a person can leave his addiction is by treating him as a criminal, and so their idea of detoxification  is to shut the addict up in a room for a month, and leave him to his pain.

And well, there are centres which treat addicts as “diseased” individuals. They heavily rely on providing medicines to the addicts. Though it is a less painful method than the one mentioned above, it is not a long lasting one, and the chances of a relapse of abuse are high.

At Addiction Free Life (AFL), we treat addicts as “victims” who need help and therapy, and not simply detoxification. We at AFL aim for the long term recovery of your loved one, by dealing with them at the personal level. Our method of treating our patients is an amalgamation of counselling, assistance by certified experts, inclusion of physical exercise programs such as yoga, post-treatment assistance along with customized, specialized therapy programs.

Why AFL?

Customized Therapy Plans

There is not a particular rehabilitation or de-addiction program that is followed at AFL for treating patients. Instead, on the basis of psychoanalysis and counselling sessions, it is decided by our team of professionals how a particular patient is to be treated. We employ a wide array of methods – such as the 12 Step Program, the TC Program, American Therapy, Nature Therapy – to come up with the best plan for a particular patient.

Experienced Professionals and Staff

Our team of psychiatrists and certified counsellors do psychoanalysis and counselling of each patient to understand how the patient requires help. These professionals are the best in their field who have not only been working actively for this cause for the past several years, but also work hard for the betterment of the condition of each patient at AFL.

The AFL staff is active 24*7 to be there at all times for your loved ones.

Personalized Routine For Your Loved Ones

Besides the conventional plan, the patient has counselling, Yoga and meditation, leisure activity sessions regularly. The goal is to not just to detoxify the patients, but to make them realise that there is so much more to life, and that they can leave it all behind once and for all.
